I would have give this dental office zero stars if I could but you have to give a review with at least one star... In any case, I went to this dental office a few times and was put off initially by the fact that I arrived for a couple of different appointments only to find the office closed and no one around. They actually did keep at least one appointment with me, but then, Carolina Cosmetic Dental Care Durham sent me to collections and I only found out that they thought I hadn't paid when the collections company called me in February of 2024. The collections company claimed that I owed them money for services rendered in February of 2021. I immediately hung up with the collections agency (did not pay them) and called Carolina Cosmetic Dental Durham and I was told I owed the money. I paid the dental office the money over the phone, but later realized that there was no way I could have owed them anything since I had Delta Dental insurance. So, I called Carolina Cosmetic Dental Durham again (which by the way was nearly impossible to get anyone on the phone) and after finally getting someone on the phone, I told them the issue. Worst experience with a dentist in my life. First off, they advertised their in-house one year dental plan as costing $200, only to arrive for my first of two appointments and be told that the price was now $300. Falsely advertised. The appointment was not enjoyable, however I had paid so much money that I was determined to use my second appointment on principle six months later. They scheduled me and my husband both for the 9am slot this morning. We arrived, four kids in tow, only to be told after 20 minutes of waiting that there was only ONE dental assistant and I would be seen after my husband. 40 minutes after I was scheduled to be cleaned, I demanded a re-schedule and left. What a waste of time. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I had a very pleasant dental experience. I was seen for a cleaning and the hygienist did an excellent job. The doctor was thorough and explained all my dental needs. The ladies at the front desk were a delight and they explained my insurance benefits and what I would need to pay. I will definitely be coming back for all my routine visits.

The staff is wonderful! Dr. Puza is awesome, I love how he takes time to explain the options and procedures to me so I can make an informed decision about my dental care. The hygienist is very friendly and professional and did an awesome job! After having disappointing visits to previous dental offices, I am so glad I found this one! I am a patient for life!!

I dread going to the dentist but all of the staff made me feel comfortable during my visit! The front desk staff are very welcoming and professional. The hygienist, Rebecca, has a great sense of humor and made a worrisome process a little more enjoyable. Dr. Puza is very friendly and didn't make me feel guilty for putting off dental care for so long. I highly recommend Dental Center of The Carolinas.
